Apparently, Janet, the matriach fell in love with Miguel Ferrer and Dénia, and did not want to return to her homeland, the United Kingdom. With her vision of a tourist, she was one of the first to realize the quality of life that one may enjoy here.

The Ferrer family have their roots here in Dénia, as nearly well established as the mountain MONTGÓ or the famous red prawns. For more than half a century, the Ferrer family has been an ambassador for Dénia, for her people, her beaches, her gastronomy and her lifestyle.

Today Janet and her children, Josephine and Miguel together with respect, honesty and affection make it easy for people such as I to begin to think about either renting a house or buying a property to put down roots here in Dénia.
